Pair Chr. Dresser Brass Fire Dogs Benham & Froud
A wonderful pair of Benham & Froud Arts & Crafts brass fire dogs, dating to circa 1880-90, designed by Dr Christopher Dresser. They do not have the manufacturers orb and cross mark but they are a known design, and are so striking and modern for the time. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, one is numbered 82, the other 93. They measure 17cm tall and 19cm wide. I also have a pair of Benham & Froud fire tongs currently for sale, also designed by Dresser. The price includes UK postage.
