Newlyn Arts & Crafts Copper Biscuit Box Dogfish
A wonderful Arts & Crafts Newlyn Industrial Class copper biscuit box, dating to circa 1900-1905, decorated with dogfish. The dogfish are beautifully done in a continuous run around the sides. As an earlier piece it is unmarked. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there is some light spotting to one side, as can be seen in the photos, but overall it's a great piece. The lid is darkly patinated with the sides slightly paler as is the case with the other box Newlyn I have listed. The interior still retains its tinning. it measures 15cm wide, 12cm deep and 12.5cm tall, or 16cm to the top of the handle. The price includes Uk insured postage.
