Mid Victorian Cast Iron Cornucopia Door Stop
A great Mid-Victorian cast iron door stop or door porter, dating to circa 1850-60, cast as twin inverted cornucopia with a pineapple or pine cone finial. Possibly manufactured by the Baldwin Foundry in Stourport on Severn, whose factory was taken over by Archibald Kenrick & Co in 1886. Offered in good conditions, commensurate with age, with minor wear the detail is good. It's heavy as you would expect so does its job well! It measures 39cm tall. The price includes UK postage.
