Liberty & Co Arts & Crafts Cake Stand Etagere
A wonderful Liberty & Co Arts & Crafts 3 tier mahogany cake stand or Etagere, dating to circa 1910, each level with satinwood inlay. Illustrated in a Liberty Catalogue of the time, as can be seen in Daryl Bennett's Liberty Furniture book. Equally useful as its original stated purpose of a cake stand or as a 3 tier etagere or display stand it is an elegant design. I love the shaped handles and corresponding wavy stretchers, and the slender flared supports with slightly shaped foot. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it measures 82cm tall, and 31.5cm max square. The price includes delivery within 30 miles of Taunton.
