Large Art Nouveau Oval Coppered Brass Wall Mirror
A large Art Nouveau copper plated brass wall mirror, dating to circa 1920, with hammered and planished decoration and scrolled butterfly wing applied bosses. The bosses bear a registration number 672879 which corresponds to 1919. A good size, I have restrung it and it is usable both horizontally and vertically. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there is some minor rubbing on the extremities where the copper plate has exposed the brass beneath, minor marking to the mirror plate and the back board is a replacement. The two metal end plates were on it originally so I replaced them after changing the back board. It measures 62cm tall and 87.5cm wide, with the mirror plate 75cm by 49cm.
