J F Pool Cornish Art Nouveau Copper Coal Bin
A good Art Nouveau copper coal bin, dating to circa 1910, and almost certainly manufactured by J F Pool of Hayle, Cornwall. It is typically Hayle in manufacture with the heavy hammered ground and sinuous raised decoration to two sides and to the lid. Offered in fairly good condition, commensurate with age, with good colour, there are some dents and markings and the steel base has rusted in parts, but overall looks rather good! I have added a solid wood inner base so it is useable again but would need a liner if used for coal. It measures 43cm tall to the top pf the handle, and 33cm square at the base.
