A great Arts & Crafts quarter sawn oak students bureau, dating to circa 1910, with brass mounts. Student bureaus were designed for smaller spaces and the solid fold down writing surface is ideal for a laptop. A lovely design and an elegant shape with a panelled cupboard above the fold down writing surface and base shelf. Both the top rail and base shelf have matching pierced decoration o their backs. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with excellent colour, albeit there are a few ink marks and some wear to the writing surface. It would be easy to add a new desk leather if required. There is no key for the folding front but there is an original catch so it stays shut! It measures 146cm tall, with 89cm max width at the cornice and 73cm below, and 29cm depth at the cornice, 30cm at the foot. Please contact me for a delivery price.
