French Art Deco Burr Card Case Wire Fox Terrier
A wonderful Art Deco burr wood card or cigarette case, dating to circa 1930-40, inlaid to the lid with a wire fox terrier in celluloid or plastic. Stamped Made in France to the interior. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there is a partial crack on the right hand side, and to the bottom right, and some light surface wear overall but it is a lovely thing! i have seen plenty of plain burr wood examples but this little doggie really elevates it to another level! It measures 10.5cm long, 8cm wide and 1.5cm deep. The price includes UK postage.
