Arts Crafts Shapland Oak Planter Bin Inlaid Figure
A great Arts & Crafts oak planter or bin, dating to circa 1910, most probably manufactured by Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple. Inlaid to the front with a figure of an elderly seated gentleman smoking a pipe, with pewter buckles to his shoes, it has two copper plated brass handles and a removable liner. Offered in reasonable condition, commensurate with age, there is one small old repair to the bottom of the front which is difficult to see and a few minor markings to the bottom of the supports but overall good. It measures 41cm tall and 31cm square, with the max at the foot 34cm square. The price includes UK postage.
