Arts & Crafts Copper Vase Fivemiletown Newton
A great Arts & Crafts copper 2 handle vase, decorated with flower heads, and dating to circa 1900-1910. I am unsure whether this is Newton Class or Fivemiletown, but looks like a John Williams design and it is very similar in design to a vase sold at Elstob & Elstob on the 15th August 2020 for £380.00, inc premium, that was signed R Reid to the base, although the manufacturer was not mentioned. A Robert Reid was listed as working at Fivemileown, so this could well be by him. Offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, there is a discoloured streak along the seam below one handle and the soldering to the base is a little uneven but this is underneath and not visible and neither is the seam if displayed with handles out. It measures 25.5cm high, 22.5cm across the handles and 10.5cm diameter at the base. The price includes UK postage, please contact me if further afield.
