19th C Oak Gothic Revival Bookcase Cabinet Irish
A unique early/mid 19th Century oak bookcase cabinet or display, profusely detailed with rosettes, chip carved details and wonderful almost hobnail cut columns. It appears to be either Irish or Scottish in origin. The glazed upper doors open to reveal three adjustable shelves, with the base having a carved drawer above twin panel effect doors enclosing shelf. Offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, with a nice colour, there are some shrinkage cracks to one side as photographed and the upper section has a replacement handle. It divides into 2 sections for transportation. Overall it measures 222cm tall, 110cm wide and 47cm deep (lower) and 33cm deep (higher).
